Fullarton Residential Care is ideally situated in a leafy Eastern foothills location, in close proximity to the CBD.

Surrounded by lush gardens and outdoor areas with views to the city and foothills, the facility is characterized by the outdoor leisure areas and personal space afforded to each resident.

With a total of 60 beds offering residents low and high level care accommodation, the rooms are spacious with an en-suite and some include balconies overlooking the gardens.

There are many cosy areas to relax and read a book or socialise with friends or family, including the "Full-a-Beans Cafe". A dedicated team of qualified carers and nurses are on duty at all times.

About Residential Aged Care

In the past, a distinction was drawn between aged care homes that offered "high level care" (which were commonly known as "nursing homes") and those that offered "low level care" (which were commonly known as "hostels"). From 1 July 2014 this distinction has ceased to apply in relation to permanent residential aged care, although it does continue to apply in relation to temporary respite care. Aged care homes can incorporate "extra service", which provides a higher standard of accommodation and services (such as meals) for an additional fee. Aged care homes that are not accredited, but which offer similar care and services, may be referred to as "Supported Living".
