One of the largest and most experienced aged care operators in South Australia, Eldercare was founded in 1979 with two complementary goals - to respect our residents' privacy and preserve their dignity, while simultaneously connecting them with an active, stimulating community.
These core motivations still drive us today. We now provide residential care in 12 quality facilities across the state, as a well as home-based Community Care on the Yorke Peninsula.
We currently offer approximately 1000 licensed aged care beds and more than 200 self-contained retirement units. We have a dedicated team of 1000 plus qualified staff, and we’re blessed with the selfless assistance of over 350 passionate and energetic volunteers.
Eldercare has been providing care for senior South Australians for over 25 years, and its predecessor organisations have been involved in aged care for several decades, commencing at Allambi in the late 1950s.
Eldercare is one of the larger aged care providers in South Australia and is a community service of the Uniting Church of Australia. Eldercare is governed by its own Board of Directors and is a stand-alone incorporated association.
